The lease of Spencer House was valued at £35 million in the 2017 annual report of RIT Capital Partners. No detail was spared in returning the house to its 18th-century elegance. Precise copies were made of literally everything that was sent to Althorp. Even the intricate mahogany door handles in the shape of human masks surrounded by the scrolling Spencer “S” are replicas of the gilt bronze originals. From its outset, lavish gilding and intricate carving made Spencer House a perfect setting for extravagant entertaining.

The two central filming locations for the series are the school premises. South Crenshaw High School is actually the Thomas Jefferson High School in South Central L.A. On the other hand, the El Segundo High School, located at 640 Main Street in El Segundo, stands in for the elite Beverly Hills High School. However, the football fields that we see in the series are shot in three different locations, including the grounds of the two abovementioned schools. The Restoration
